Dive into a rewarding career as an IMCA Diver Medic technician with our comprehensive and interactive course. Designed to equip you with advanced medical aid and life support skills, this training prepares you to handle diving casualties in pressurised and saturation diving operations.

Designed with convenience and flexibility in mind, this blended course is the first of its kind in the UK, offering divers the ultimate learning experience.

Part 1 of the course takes place online, allowing you to study at your own pace. With 13 comprehensive modules that cover all essential aspects of DMT knowledge and skills. To ensure maximum retention, each module concludes with a brief multiple-choice quiz to reinforce your learning and allow progression.

Once you’ve completed Part 1 online, you’ll have the freedom to choose a 5-day Part 2 session that suits your work pattern. This practical application phase is where you’ll put your knowledge into practice. Engage in dynamic scenarios, interactive activities, skill stations, and case studies under the guidance of our expert clinical tutors.

Our commitment to your success extends beyond the training sessions. Throughout the course, you’ll have access to a wealth of online learning materials and a waterproof core manual for quick reference during emergencies. Our dedicated team of professional clinical tutors will be there every step of the way to provide ongoing support.
With this innovative blended approach, we not only reduce accommodation costs and time away from loved ones but also give you up to three months to complete Part 1 at your own pace.

Looking to become a highly skilled Diver Medic Technician? Look no further than our IMCA Diver Medic Technician course. This comprehensive training covers a wide range of topics to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle medical emergencies in diving situations.

Our course covers essential areas such as casualty handling under pressure, care of medical equipment, and record-keeping. You’ll also delve into diving-related illnesses including barotraumas and decompression illness, learning how to effectively manage them.

Advanced life support skills are a key focus, ensuring you’re prepared for any dive-related injury or illness that may arise. You’ll gain hands-on experience in insertion of chest drains and needle decompression, patient examination, and basic anatomy and physiology.

In addition, you’ll learn vital techniques such as intraosseous infusion, advanced airway management, defibrillator usage, oxygen administration, and trauma care. With our IMCA Diver Medic Technician course, you’ll be armed with the expertise needed to handle medical emergencies with confidence and proficiency.

There will be both theoretical and practical assessments within the course. Upon successful completion learners will be awarded the following:

– IMCA Diver Medic Technician certificate valid for 2 years
– MediPro First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years
– Emergency oxygen for divers certificate valid for 3 years

To qualify for the IMCA Diver Medic qualification, applicants must hold an offshore qualification in diving.

This can be an LST, diving supervisor or diving qualification recognised by IMCA. However, if you do not hold a suitable offshore diving qualification but would like to attend the course, please contact us for further information.
