Why choose apprenticeships?

Hiring an apprentice is a productive and effective way for any organisation to grow talent and develop a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce.

86% of employers said apprenticeships developed skills relevant to their organisation and 78% reported improved productivity.

90% of apprentices stay on in their place of work after completing an apprenticeship. In addition to building a company’s skills base, providing quality training to apprentices is also likely to bring benefits in terms of staff retention. A major reason for this is that staff typically feel loyal to employers who have invested in their training and are therefore more engaged and motivated to stay.

You can employ an apprentice who’s aged 18 up to any age and from any background. Companies that invest in their own staff training are viewed as better and more competent employers.

– Investing in quality training may improve your CQC rating in this area, which can lead to awarding of more contracts.

– You will achieve lower costs for training and recruitment as an apprenticeship is more cost effective than hiring skilled staff.

– Apprentices can be used as a full member of the workforce; they don’t have to be supernumerary during their training.

– Apprenticeship schemes recognise that university isn’t right for everybody, and cater for people’s different learning styles and skill sets.

You Commitments

The mixture of on and off-the-job training means your apprentice will learn the skills that work best for your business. Apprentices will be trained within the context of your organisation, meaning apprentices contribute to business productivity while developing their own skills.

Finance 2

Apprenticeships can help you tackle skill shortages in your business. They can be tailored to specific job roles, making them flexible to the needs of your business. Apprentices can help fill skills gaps by developing the specialist skills you require.

The UK government are supporting the funding of apprentices through the levy, meaning drastically reduced costs to you.

Every time a business hires an apprentice, they receive, on average, a bottom-line boost of around £2,000 once wage and training costs have been factored in.

People who feel supported, empowered and proud to work for you are more likely to do their best, in turn providing the best service for your patients.

Sub-contracting

MediPro can work with employers to subcontract elements of the apprenticeship delivery. If the employer is registered with RoATP we will agree, before commencing delivery, which parts of the programme the employer will deliver, which may include expert of specialist areas of knowledge as well as negotiated associated costs. Medipro will prepare a written contract detailing the delivery plan and all costs to ensure transparency and robust processes and system between all parties.
