Where your portfolio, reviews and course information live, and how to get help.

Two platforms, one place for everything you need

We use two systems, chosen for the job each does. Apprentices work in Aptem. Commercial course learners use Arlo. You will only ever need one of them, and we show you how it works at induction.

Aptem, for apprentices

Aptem is your apprenticeship in one place. From the day you start to the day you pass your end-point assessment, everything you and your employer need sits there.

Your training plan
The plan you, your employer and Medipro sign at the start, kept up to date as you progress.
Your portfolio
Upload evidence of your knowledge, skills and behaviours against the apprenticeship standard, and see what is left to cover.
Off-the-job hours
Log the six hours a week of training you are entitled to, and see your total build towards the target.
Progress reviews
Three-way reviews with your tutor and employer every 8 to 12 weeks, recorded so everyone sees the same actions.
English and maths
Your initial assessments and any functional skills learning are tracked alongside your main programme.
Support plans
Any reasonable adjustments or wellbeing support sit in your record, visible to those who need to know and nobody else.

Aptem works on a phone, tablet or computer. You can upload a photo of a workplace document or a reflection from your shift without waiting to get home.

Arlo, for commercial courses

If you book a short course, CPD course or offshore medic programme with us, Arlo handles your booking from enquiry to certificate.

Dates, times, what to bring and how to find Faraday House, sent automatically before your course.
Pre-course material
Any reading or eLearning to complete beforehand.
Course communications
Reminders and updates by email, so nothing gets lost.

Both platforms give employers their own login, so you are never waiting for an update from us.
Aptem for apprenticeship employers
A full, real-time view of each of your apprentices: progress against the standard, reviews, evidence and off-the-job hours. Message their tutor directly and spot anyone who needs support early.
Arlo for organisations booking courses
Your organisation gets its own login to manage bookings in one place: see who is booked, check attendance, and move staff to a new course if shifts change.

Getting started

Your login details arrive by email before your first day. At induction, your tutor walks you through the platform and you complete your first task there and then. Short how-to guides are available in the platform for anything you need to revisit.

When something goes wrong
Forgotten password, upload that will not go through, review you cannot see? Contact your tutor first or call 01325 609030. Most problems are fixed the same day. If you have no suitable device, see Library and IT Support for loan laptops and on-site computers.

Working safely

Keep your login private and log out on shared devices. Never upload patient-identifiable information. If you are unsure whether a piece of evidence is appropriate, ask your tutor before uploading it.
