What CPD is

CPD is the learning you do after qualifying to keep your knowledge and skills current. Regulators set the rules. The HCPC asks registrants to keep a continuous, up-to-date record and to show how their learning has benefited service users. The GDC and GPhC set their own requirements for dental and pharmacy professionals. Your employer may add to these.

The common thread is evidence. A good portfolio shows what you did, what you learned and what changed in your practice.
