Kirsty Wharton, MediPro’s Head of Apprenticeships speaks about our recent inspection.
`During the late summer of 2022, Medipro was approached by ESFA and Health Education England to onboard over 600 apprentices who were not able to continue with their current provider. This was a large-scale and complex task which was still being undertook when we had our Ofsted inspection.
`I’m pleased to say that over 95% of these apprentices have now succeeded and are working in their greatly needed sector. We have now returned to normal operational business as reflected with this grade and the previous monitoring inspections.
`This inspection recognises the quality of the education provided by the educational team, creating confident and capable apprentices for a highly challenging working environment. It also formally acknowledges that many of our apprentices succeed and continue their career pathway into higher education.
`During this past year, we have had over 800 apprentices succeed with us, with the majority gaining a merit or above, and nearly all achieving full-time employment with their employer. We continue in our support and provision of ambulance education into the future with confidence.
`I would like to thank our staff for their resilience and fortitude over this past year, and the apprentices themselves for showing perseverance and determination to achieve in such a worthwhile and vital profession.
