Skills Bootcamps are government-backed training programmes designed to build priority skills quickly.
Most programmes run for up to 16 weeks and are aimed at adults aged 19+.
There is no training cost to your business if you recruit someone who has completed a Skills Bootcamp.
If you use a Skills Bootcamp to upskill an existing employee, your business makes a contribution to training costs:
- 10% for small to medium employers (1–249 employees)
- 30% for large employers (250+ employees)
Employees may also need protected time to attend learning, depending on course format and working hours.
