Course Overview
A stress management course online that links wellbeing to the law
Work-related stress affects every sector, from care homes to call centres. This stress management course online explains what stress is and why it matters. It also sets out what employers must do to reduce the risk.
There are four short video modules. They move from causes and symptoms to legal duties and practical controls. You can complete them in one sitting or across a week.
Why choose this course?
✔ Legal duties explained – how stress fits within health and safety law
✔ Practical controls – steps to reduce stress risks at work
✔ Approved by CPD and IIRSM – earns 2 CPD units
✔ Free trial – preview the course before you buy
The stress management course online covers four topics.
- What stress is – the difference between pressure and harmful stress
- Why it is a problem – the impact on health, attendance and performance
- Causes – common triggers at work and outside it
- Symptoms – physical, emotional and behavioural signs
- The law – employer duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
- Risk assessment – why the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 apply to stress
- Reducing risk – practical measures, including the HSE Management Standards approach
The course suits all staff, including care workers, nurses, office teams and front-line public service staff. Supervisors and health and safety leads will find the legal content useful. Some roles carry higher stress risks, so it suits shift and lone workers too.
.
Each module has a 70% pass mark. A certificate of completion is issued once all four modules are passed. The course is approved by CPD and IIRSM and carries 2 CPD units. Employers can use it as evidence of action on stress risks.

Training a team? We can help.
Many care providers, NHS teams and employers use our eLearning to keep staff training current. A business account lets you buy courses in bulk, assign them to staff and track completion in one place. That gives you a clear record for audits and inspections.
Since 2008, Medipro has trained thousands of health and care professionals in the classroom and online. We can help you build a training plan that mixes eLearning with practical, tutor-led courses at our centres.
Do employers have a legal duty to manage stress?
Yes. Employers must assess risks to health, which includes work-related stress. HSE expects them to act on the findings, and its Management Standards offer a framework.
Who should take a stress management course online?
It suits any employee who wants to recognise and manage stress. It is also useful for managers who carry out risk assessments.
How long is the certificate valid?
There is no legal expiry. Many employers refresh this training annually or every 1–3 years, depending on policy.
