  • Customer Service & Patient Advice – Communicating effectively with patients and advising on over-the-counter medicines.
  • Regulatory & Ethical Standards – Understanding the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) regulations and pharmacy law.
  • Stock Control & Inventory Management – Managing supplies, reducing waste, and handling deliveries efficiently.
  • Health & Safety in Pharmacies – Maintaining hygiene, following infection control procedures, and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Promoting Public Health – Supporting awareness campaigns, such as smoking cessation and flu vaccinations.

Apprentices will also gain Maths and English Level 1 qualifications (if not already achieved).

Apprentices need to be 16 or older and be working in a pharmacy, hospital or healthcare setting.
