Paramedic Completion News Post

After 8 years in the making, April 24th marks the completion of our first-ever Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic Practice. 14 successful students are now eligible to become HCPC registered Paramedics.

This HCPC approved programme is the only vocational route to becoming a Paramedic, opening the doors to those who may not be able to undertake study through the university route. We at MediPro wanted to create a vocational programme that would help address the industry shortfall and provide learners with an alternative route to becoming a Paramedic.

Working alongside Qualsafe Awards we have been able to take prehospital care Qualifications, to the next level. Not only does the programme accommodate those starting from scratch, but it also allows an RPL route taking into account current skills and experience. Most of the students are now eligible to join the HCPC register come from ambulance backgrounds, allowing Ambulance Technicians to upskill to Paramedics in just 40 weeks.

With the programme’s success, we now have commitments from an NHS trust to fill the next 2 years available places.
It has been a long time in the making, but with our special relationship with Qualsafe, we have been able to make the Programme work.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support and hard work, taking this Programme from a dream and making it a reality.
