It may have been a busy summer of sport here in the UK, but it has also been a busy time for everyone here at MediPro.
The 5% Club
We’re delighted to join The 5% Club and hope that through our membership, we showcase MediPro’s commitment to developing our people. Companies joining The 5% Club commit to raising the number of apprentices to 5% of their total workforce within five years.

We have also been awarded a new framework agreement with NHS Shared Business Services for providing apprenticeship training services. The agreement will last for four years, with an option for extension.
This represents another step forward for MediPro as we further extend our provision of ambulance apprenticeships across the country.

Ofsted Report
Meanwhile, MediPro had a successful monitoring visit from Ofsted, who were auditing the quality of teaching provided for our apprenticeships.
Our tutors were described as being “well qualified and hav[ing] significant vocational experience which they use well to support apprentices to develop substantial new knowledge, skills and behaviours.”
Good stuff all round, really!

London, Bristol, Stockton
In terms of training, the last few months have been busy for us.
First, we welcomed Trainee Emergency Ambulance Crews (TEACs) for London Ambulance Service as part of their Associate Ambulance Practitioner (AAP) apprenticeship.
Meanwhile, our apprentice ECAs for Bristol Ambulance Service enter their final clinical week before entering operations. Our second cohort of AAPs for Bristol Ambulance Service are also halfway through their 12-week Ambulance Practitioner apprenticeship.
In Stockton, our cohort of MediPro student paramedics have passed their final exams, making the one step closer to becoming qualified paramedics. We also have had a number of students successfully pass their initial 12-week AAP course. These students have representatives from services across the country, including Jersey Ambulance Service, and will therefore no continue in placement. We wish them the best of luck!
