MediPro win Training and Apprenticeship Award at Tees Businesswomen Awards
MediPro are delighted to have won the Training and Apprenticeships Award at this year’s Tees Businesswomen Awards.
The Tees Businesswomen Awards 2022 saw nearly 450 people celebrate the successes and achievements made by the region’s best businesswomen.

We are thrilled to see our Director and Head of Apprenticeships Kirsty Wharton recognised for her incredible contributions to MediPro over the last few years.
Over the last two years, MediPro has become one of the largest independent providers of ambulance apprenticeships in the UK, with our apprentice intake growing from 200 to over 1,350,
The company has expanded significantly, with two additional training centres opening in Newmarket and London, as well as MediPro’s Stockton HQ doubling in size.

Kirsty herself was surprised to win on the night.
“I’m completely surprised, to be honest. We’ve had an amazing year for the company. Not just in the North East, but with us opening sites in London and Newmarket. It has been phenomenal for us.”
MediPro achieve End Point Assessment success
End Point Assessments (EPAs) are a key part of our ambulance apprenticeships, acting as a final exam for our Level 3 and Level 4 apprenticeship programmes.
At MediPro:
- our EPA success rate is 98.7%.
- 72% of our apprentices pass with either distinction or merit.
- 93% of apprentices would recommend our courses to others.
This is something we are very proud of!

The Emergency Services Show is the UK’s leading annual showcase of the emergency services sector, featuring over 450 exhibitors!
This was a great opportunity for attendees to source new equipment & training courses, find solutions to operational problems and seek outsourcing providers.
