WANTED – Clinical Tutors for Newmarket Training Centre
MediPro are looking for clinical tutors for our new training centre in Newmarket.
Our Head of Education, Kevin Scorer (pictured), spoke about the importance of clinical tutors to our education delivery.

`It’s a great time for anyone who starts with MediPro. We have just announced that we are opening a new centre in Newmarket. What a great opportunity this is for anyone joining the organisation. `
`In terms of the role of a tutor, it’s a great role. It instils the knowledge, skills and behaviours that students need to meet the needs of the business.
`So we are looking for those who have a passion for education. Who are maybe newly qualified paramedics or have been qualified for a number of years. Who want to put back into a workforce who are being developed the knowledge they have acquired over the years.
`And so we are looking for people who want to be able to deliver and bring on board those people who can instil in the future the qualities that are needed to deliver the paramedic qualifications.`

MediPro shortlisted for CIPD Armed Forces Award
Last week, we had the honour of being a finalist for the Excellence in Supporting Armed Forces Talent award at the CIPD North East of England HR&D Awards.
To be one of four finalists out of over 300 entries for this award is a massive achievement. It recognises MediPro as one of the best companies in the region for supporting service leavers. Plus, it encourages us to strive to further improve our organisation for the armed forces community, whether they be members of staff or students on our courses.

Clinical tutors take part in tutor training day

This past month, we had our clinical tutors at our Stockton training centre for a tutor training day.
They covered surgical airways and used moulage make-up kits to teach simulations. This helped to update and refresh their skills while improving standardisation across our courses.
MediPro attend PSTD999 film premiere
Last month, MediPro were invited to attend the premiere of a short film about PTSD, created by PTSD999.
PTSD999 is an organisation founded & run by serving and former Police Officers who provide help & support to members of the emergency services with PSTD. They offer phone support, referrals to specialist practitioners, and deliver sessions to a wide variety of uniformed services courses, including sessions for MediPro.

These sessions have been incredibly well received by both staff and students and have become an invaluable component of our ambulance apprenticeship courses.
The film ‘Breaking Glass – a Fragile Mind’ shows the challenges faced by former Police Officer Tom as he struggles with everyday life due to his PTSD, leading him to eventually seek help from PTSD999.
It was an honour to be invited to this event and to show our support for the fantastic work PSTD999 do.
