Here’s August’s edition of MediPro Monthly, bringing you this month’s company news in four minutes or less.
500th Associate Ambulance Practitioner goes through to their End Point Assessment
Back in June, we had our 500th Associate Ambulance Practitioner learner go through to their End Point Assessment. This is an incredible milestone for MediPro, one that we are truly proud of.
Out of the 543 AAP learners who have already been at EPA Gateway, 99.8% of learners went on to successfully pass their End Point Assessment. 82% of these learners passed with either distinction or merit (36% with distinction, 45% with merit). In addition, 83% of AAP learners passed their EPA on the first attempt.
100th Paramedic learner registered with HCPC
Following a paramedic exam board in June, a further 12 learners successfully passed, thereby becoming eligible for HCPC registration.
This brings our total number of successful paramedic learners to over 100 in the last two years alone. An incredible achievement.
New training centre opens in Bristol
MediPro opened a new training centre in Bristol. From this location, we will be delivering AAP apprenticeships and upskill courses for Bristol Ambulance EMS and Central Medical Services.
The first course, an AAP Upskill for Bristol Ambulance, has already been delivered there, with learners having completed their initial 6 weeks of classroom learning, along with the accompanying OSCEs and exams.
As part of this expansion, we also welcomed 3 new tutors – Jason Gleeson, Matthew Herd and Ella Maynard.
Photo Gallery – The latest CERAD learners to complete their course
In the last two months, we have had several learners complete their CERAD courses. During this blue light driving course, learners are shown how to drive an ambulance progressively at high speeds.
CERAD learners visit 10 Downing Street
As part of their CERAD training, some of our CERAD learners from East of England Ambulance Service had the opportunity to take part in some driver training in London. As part of this, our driving tutors kindly managed to organise for them to visit 10 Downing Street. They even got to meet Larry the Cat.
Offshore Medic Testimonials
We’ve had some lovely feedback from Delali Blood-Dzraku, Ian Betteridge and Dave Coote, who all recently completed their Offshore Medic course at our Stockton-on-Tees training centre.
