At present MediPro are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to develop and support our current Quality Assurance processes and team. You will be based in one of our 3 centre’s, Stockton-on-Tees, Bristol or Newmarket with the opportunity to potentially travel between them. Hybrid working which would include centre locations and remote working. This is a full-time permanent role (with an immediate start available), and comes with an attractive benefits package, these being:

Job Purpose

You will build upon the reputation of Medipro, with an unwavering commitment to meticulous service provision, quality assurance and compliance. You will need to be an exceptionally organised, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take our services to the next level with respect to accuracy, quality, and safety. You will be charged with developing a robust Quality Assurance programme that not only safeguards the quality of our services, but also fosters a “quality culture,” in which all employees become actively engaged in guaranteeing quality in our service delivery.

You will be expected to act in accordance with Medipro’s Policies and Procedures, and in turn help develop and uphold them as and when required from a Quality perspective.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Carefully maintain compliant and non-compliant processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions, escalating nonconformance to Senior Management.
  • Identify the current position and action taken on compliance in relation to the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) contracts, as per our risk management process.
  • Analyse quality reports to identify and prioritise the auditing of high risk areas to prevent the escalation of errors, including preventing funding clawback from Funding Agencies.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of services to confirm quality conformance to specified standards.
  • To partake and support in external audits, ensuring proactive preparation and the gathering of all required and relevant information.
  • Lead and support the Quality Assurance team, including training them on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
  • To interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards. Including developing new procedures and processes when required.
  • Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits on a regular basis to senior management and key external stakeholders.
  • Develop new standards for service and design, with improvements as needed, and create testing protocols for implementation across all departments.
  • Pursue continuing education on new solutions, technology, and skills and identify training needs, and take action to ensure company-wide compliance
  • Assist operations and local quality function in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels, environmental and health and safety goals/KPIs
  • Analyse and investigate learner complaints about courses or course delivery or reported quality issues, to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  • Develop or update company complaint and inspection procedures to ensure capture and investigation, as well as monitor documentation of complaints

Experience and Work Achievements


  • Be able to work without direct supervision
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a team
  • Experience working in the medical sector and/or the education sector (including apprenticeships)

Skills and Abilities


  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to adapt style depending on your audience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages including Word and Excel, to prepare and analyse complex data and reports
  • Strong auditing, assessment, and interpretation skills in areas of contractual compliance
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Ofsted
  • The ability to manage time and workload effectively
  • In depth understanding of HR policies and procedures


  • Professional Qualification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer or Quality Auditor

  • Understanding of Quality Assurance functions

    Since I had graduated, I was a little uncertain with the route I would take as my lack of driving experience was holding me back from joining a trust and wanted to find another way, to consolidate my learning. This opportunity usually only presents itself after years of experience, so I was eager to give it a go.     Qualifying as a Paramedic, I feel like I’ve accomplished something I never thought I would be able to. I think it is an amazing job!

    My first experience of training with MediPro was just over 5 years ago when I undertook my Ambulance Technician training whilst looking for a change of career. Following the completion of the course, I was offered employment as an ambulance technician, supporting local NHS trusts in providing emergency and urgent care.

    Since starting with MediPro I have continued to be supported throughout my career and they have enabled me to continue to develop both personally and professionally, working towards my ambition to qualify as a HCPC registered Paramedic.

    Additionally, I have been offered and supported through a level 3 teaching qualification, as well as a mentor qualification. This has allowed me to broaden my practice and develop as a clinician, working in a dual role as an ambulance technician, mentoring students in practice, as well as in a teaching capacity.

    Last year I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to apply for the MediPro Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic Practice, as an alternative to university this suited my situation perfectly. Despite being a non-university programme I was still fully supported through every step of my journey & I now work as an HCPC registered Paramedic for MediPro with the ambition to consolidate my practice and develop my teaching skills.

    Overall, MediPro has provided me with amazing opportunities and support since starting my career 5 years ago. The knowledge, skills and experiences have enabled me to develop as a professional and as a person, which has been invaluable. I’ve also gained some brilliant working relationships and friendships along the way.

    Since graduating from my Sports Science and Injury Rehabilitation degree, I have been desperate to work in the healthcare industry, particularly emergency care.
