ITLS eTrauma presents the 8 hours of ITLS Provider classroom instruction in a self-paced, online format that adapts to your schedule. It reinterprets course lectures with 13 lessons featuring video clips, quiz questions, click-and-drag matching exercises, new case studies, and other interactive tools.
Some of the key benefits of this method include:
- Interactive reinterpretation of the ITLS Provider course lectures in an online format
- Flexible and self-paced to fit the non-stop working conditions of trauma care providers
- Totally accessible and affordable for all levels of responder
- Reduce the time off required to complete the award
ITLS eTrauma covers 13 multimedia interactive lessons that correspond to the textbook chapters. Each lesson utilises video clips, quiz questions, click-and-drag matching exercises, case studies and more to maximize your learning and retention.
After each lesson is complete a 10 question lesson quiz is required to be taken before moving onto the next. A score of 70% or higher is required to obtain the ‘unlock’ code to access the next quiz.
Once fully complete you will be required to print your completion certificate, attend one of the ‘completer’ days which will focus on the practical aspect of ITLS.
This is an online course that you complete in your own time so there are no course dates. Once you have completed the online portion you can register separately for the assessment part of the course.
After successful completion of the eTrauma ITLS course you will be able to print your completion certificate.
For each student to obtain their ITLS Provider certificate and card (valid for 3 years) you will be required to attend our centre for 1 day to complete the practical aspects of the provider award as well as complete the practical and written assessment (MCQ).
As this award covers basic and advanced responders students should work within an environment that may require them to attend and manage a trauma patient.
All students attending the ‘completer’ course must bring their proof of the eTrauma completion in the form of the downloadable and printable certificate.
