- What time does the course start?
All full courses start at 9am (unless stated otherwise in your joining instructions email), if you have booked an assessment or re-qualification check the time stated in your confirmation email.

- Are finance or payment options available?
Currently, we have 5 financing options available to potential students but there are always new government schemes and funding being developed and put in place. If the options below don't meet your needs it is best to contact us directly to discuss what is available to you and to find something that best suits your situation.

- Is there accommodation available or nearby?
There are a number of hotels and accommodation nearby (some within walking distance) that offer very competitive rates. Our main hotel is the Sporting Lodge that offers excellent rates for our students that includes breakfast, access to the gym, pool and sauna for only £50.00 a night.

- Is lunch provided when attending a course?
Yes, a light lunch is provided with all full courses*. This usually includes a good selection of sandwiches and other finger foods. Crisps and fruit are readily available. If you have any special dietary requirements (including allergies) please contact us 2 weeks before attending your course.

*assessments & re-qualifications are usually only half days

- How do I get to your centres?
Our main training facility is found in Stockton on Tees. You can enter the following address into your sat-nav or smartphone and follow it right to our door.

Faraday House, Sopwith Close, Stockton on Tees, TS18 3TT

Alternatively, you can get the train to Darlington train station which sits on the main North to South network and is only 10 miles from our centre. Local airports include Newcastle (20 miles) Durham Tees-valley (3 mile).

- Will I be able to attend a placement if I have a criminal conviction on my DBS?
Unfortunately this depends on the type of conviction so if you could contact us directly via phone or email we can discuss your options.

- Can I cancel a course booking?
Yes, although charges may apply if cancelled in short notice. If it is the date of the course that no longer suits your schedule you can transfer to another date free of charge. For full details on cancellations notice and fees you can read our terms and conditions HERE

- Can I do my placement at a later date in my local area?
Yes, placements can be arranged at a time to suit you, even if this is several weeks after your course. Students can arrange their own placements closer to their home, but they need to be agreed before starting your training course. Please contact us via phone or email before booking to discuss your options.

- Is there any pre-reading before I attend?
Yes, all our courses require some form of pre-reading. You will be emailed a Learning Management System (LMS) link to access all your reading materials 2 weeks prior to your course start date.

- If my certificate has expired, can I still refresh?
This depends on which course it is you are attending for re-qualification as some certificates can while others cannot. Please contact us via phone or email before booking to discuss your options.

- Do I need to bring anything with me on the first day of my course?
Yes, you will need to bring a form of acceptable photo ID (Passport, drivers licence etc), all your relevant certificates (see joining instructions email) and yourself! It is advisable to bring some suitable clothing for outdoor exercises.
